Most of my couples tell me the same thing on our first call: "We're really awkward in photos." Then on the day, somewhere between the vows and the first dance, they realise they're actually enjoying it.
That's the point. Your wedding isn't a photoshoot with a party attached rather it's a day with your favourite people, and you should spend it with them, not lined up for stiff, staged shots.
So I keep things relaxed and fun and I'll be right around you, joking with your guests and keeping the energy up, while capturing what's really happening, be it your dad trying not to cry, your friends losing it on the dance floor, the look you give each other across the room. By the end of the night, most couples say it felt like having an extra member of the bridal party, just one with a camera.
The result? Photos that take you straight back to how the day felt.
Turns out you're not awkward, you just needed the right photographer.
Do you offer videography with your photography?
No, videography is not included in any of my wedding packages but I have a list of recommended vendors I work with locally that I am very happy to share with you.
Is your website the only place we can view your work?
No, my most recent work is posted on my Instagram but across my social media and my website you are able to see most of my work. On instagram there are both posts and highlights to be able to see all you would like to see.
Do we need an engagement session?
An engagement session is a lovely way to celebrate where you are right now. It's also your chance to see how I work before the big day.
It's the best cure for "we're awkward in photos". By the end, you'll know exactly what it feels like to be in front of my camera, and I'll know what works for you. So on the wedding day, we skip the awkward introductions and get straight to the good stuff.
Totally optional, of course. Some couples love it, some skip it, and either way your wedding photos will be in good hands.
How many images will we receive?
No caps, no counting. Each package comes with an average minimum photos you can expect but I don't limit how many photos you get.
I go through everything, take out the blinks, the doubles and the mid-sneeze moments, and hand you every single one worth keeping.
How will we receive the images?
The images will be sent via an online gallery which is accessible for a minimum of one year. The online gallery is password protected and requires a pin to download your photos protecting your privacy and ensuring control on your photos.
How far in advance should we be booking?
Usually bookings are secured between six months to two or two and half years in advance. There is no right time to book except the minute you secure your venue and date.
When will we get our photos?
Within 48-72 hours of your wedding, I tend to send over a preview of your day, being a minimum of 50 images. The full and complete gallery is sent over within 3 months.
How do we book your services?
A contract will be sent over going over the formalities and once that is signed, a deposit, relevant to what package you intend to book or is deemed best for you, would need to be settled.
What happens if you are ill on the day?
I tend to tell my couples that the only way I will not be present is if i am physically unable to move. If that is ever the case, I have a list of trusted photographers who would be able to replace me, the images are then passed onto me to review and post process. This will keep your images consistent and ensure you have images you’ll love.
